Usually strategic marketing mentoring suits people who have been identified as high achievers and are either transitioning into, or who are not yet in, a strategic role. This might include people who have been identified as having the potential to support the business in a more senior role in the future. 

This might include people with extensive experience in a certain marketing channel, of running campaigns, or people with lots of transferable experiences from other industries or disciplines who are looking to transition into a strategic marketing role but have not had the formal training or chance to learn strategic marketing principles in their previous roles.

Ultimately this is flexible and customised depending on the needs of the people and business involved. We tend to meet fortnightly or monthly and always focus sessions on real-time challenges and opportunities in your business.

Every mentoring engagement is tailored to your team’s needs, but our most popular formats include:

  • One-to-one mentoring – Ideal for high-potential junior or mid-level marketers preparing for more responsibility
  • Group mentoring – Great for small teams who need shared strategic direction and individualised development

Whatever the format, sessions have a defined agenda to explore and notes and questions are used between sessions to help develop an on-going narrative used to help the mentee(s) explore the topics most appropriate to them and their business challenges.

Each session is usually an hour, although the first session may require a little longer. 

Typically yes, although we might suggest input or sessions with another of our team if we think it could add value. Again, this is flexible and usually driven by the needs of the mentee and their preferences.
