We are a small team in a growing consultancy and like to keep our eyes and ears open for talented marketers who could add their skills to us when the time is right.
We purposefully hire on a fully employed basis rather than working with associated consultants on a sub contracted basis. We think this gives our clients the best possible outcome as our model is built on consistency, quality control and a structured client experience. It also means you get to really be part of our team and immerse yourself in our culture and ways of working. It works for us, for you and our clients.
We are remote first as this gives us the opportunity to hire the best people no matter where they are in the UK. Importantly, it also allows us to work flexible hours and to balance our passions and other commitments.
Who we hire
We are comfortable with complexity - diving into our client’s business challenges and working out how marketing strategy can contribute to solving them. This requires someone with substantial marketing experience who has worked in senior roles. To give you some idea of the sort of roles that we hire for and the level of experience we look for, the way we are currently structured includes these main roles:
Senior Partner – typically CMO level, highly experienced, providing strategic leadership
Partner – Head of Marketing level, delivering high-impact consultancy work
What we look for
We mainly look for two things when hiring – experience and cultural fit.
When it comes to experience, we’re after people who have worked across B2B and B2C - building out the foundations of strong marketing strategies, defining growth and go-to-market plans, measuring performance, and assessing skills and capabilities. As well as leading teams and working alongside C-Suite colleagues. You will need the ability to work in a high-performing consulting environment remotely but also as part of the team.
Culturally you will need an entrepreneurial mindset; be accountable; happy to challenge the status quo; have respect for all aspects of each other’s lives as well as our clients; be ambitious for yourself, your colleagues, your clients and Open Velocity itself.
